Governance

The affairs of the Regiment, including the Association but not, for the moment, the Museum, are overseen by The Royal Scots Regimental Trust which is registered as a Scottish Charity (Registered Number SC0008001). The Museum is presently governed as a separate Charity (Registered Number SC005163) with its own Trustees. The Royal Scots Club. although very closely allied with the Royal Scots Trust, stands separately and includes a trading arm. Discussions are presently ongoing on the merging, in the relatively near future, of the Regimental and Museum Trusts, together with the Association, into a single Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO).
