  9. RS MUSEUM OUTREACH 2024: HEARTS 150th CELEBRATIONS, TYENECASTLE 4 -11 JULY 24: CALLING ALL PPBG VOLUNTEERS

Following the resounding success of the RS Museum Outreach Exhibition at Dalkeith Palace last November, this year’s exhibition will be in collaboration with Heart of Midlothian FC at Tynecastle Park as Hearts celebrate their 150th anniversary and timed to follow immediately after this year’s pilgrimage to Contalmaison in commemoration of the gallantry of Sir George McCrae’s 16 RS.

We have been allocated a hospitality suite in the main stand for RS Museum exhibits and we will be linking with the Hearts Museum, Memorial Garden and RS statue elsewhere in the stadium.

Planning is advancing apace and it will not be long before more detail will be promulgated. Our exhibition will be along similar lines to at Dalkeith but with due emphasis on 16 RS and the Somme, 7 RS and Gretna, the WW2 Battalions including 2 RS at Hong Kong and the Lisbon Maru, and the importance of sport in RS, the wider Army and nationally.

PPBG Volunteers will be key to success once again. Please put the dates in your diaries, indicate whether you may be able to help, and spread the word for new members. Contact wjblythe@hotmail.com

    Stand by for further information.

    Up The Royals!
