    The funeral of Mr George (Chick) Clyde will take place at 1100 on Thu 19 Dec 2024 at Main Chapel, Mortonhall Cemetery, 30B Howden Hall Rd, Edinburgh EH16 6TX and afterwards at the WOs’ and Sgts’ Mess at Redford Barracks, Colinton Road, Edinburgh EH13 0PP from 1300 – 1500.

  2. Sad to see the passing of Chick Clyde remember him well from his time in Werl & Northern Ireland West Belfast tour & the Fort,my condolences to his family at such a sad time for them all.

    It is with great sadness that we report the death on 1 December 2024 of Mr George (Chick) Clyde, 1RS 1985 – 2011. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. Further details will be promulgated in due course.

    1. My sincere condolences goes out to Caroline, family and friends at this very sad time, Chick was one of the nicest guys I met during my time, lovely guy, did my Anti-Tank Cadre with him back in 1989.

    A piece by Angus Roxburgh on The Royal Scots (7/9th Battalion) involvement in the liberation of Walcheren on 1-2 November 1944 will be broadcast on Radio Scotland between 0830 and 0930 on Saturday 2 November 2024.

  9. Regimental Remembrance Service – Glencorse

    The Regimental Remembrance Service will be held at The Royal Scots Memorial, Glencorse on Saturday 9 November 2024. Please arrive by 1030 so that the service can commence at 1050. There will be a curry lunch in the WOs’ and Sgts’ Mess after the service. Please inform the Regimental Office admin@theroyalscots.co.uk If you will be attending the service and if you will be staying for the curry lunch.
