The LISBON MARU was a Japanese armed freighter that was sunk on 2 Oct 1942 while transporting Japanese troops and British PoWs, including members of 2RS, from Hong Kong to Japan, resulting in great loss of life.

A film about the tragedy has been made. There will be an opportunity to view the film on Saturday 19 August 2023 in the Ellesmere Room in The Royal Scots Club. The showing will commence at 1030.

Anyone wishing to attend this film shown is requested to notify the Regimental Secretary on RegtSec@theroyalscots.co.uk
